Celebrate Theological Libraries Month

Oct 1, 2018

October is Theological Libraries Month and once again we're joining the American Theological Library Association's celebration with book spine poetry and a faculty book raffle!

Create your own book spine poems using books from the library, share them on Twitter or Facebook,* and include @YourATLA with #TLM2018 for a chance to win the American Theological Library Association contest. Four winners will receive a $25 digital Amazon gift card.

Wondering what a book spine poem might look like? Here's an example by Marcus Hong (Ph.D. candidate) from a few years ago.

*If you're not on either platform, follow the "Book Spine Poetry Contest - Official Rules" link below for alternative means of participating.

This year the Weekly Faculty Book Raffle includes: Making Faithful Decisions at the End of Life by Nancy J. Duff; Finding Ourselves Lost: Ministry in the Age of Overwhelm by Robert C. Dykstra; Faith of Our Mothers, Living Still by Abigail Rian Evans and Katharine Doob Sakenfeld; and Bible and Ethics in the Christian Life: A New Conversation by Jacqueline E. Lapsley, et al.
